OUR STORY

Our Customers
iOven customers enjoy something that has become extremely rare these days. Handmade products of excellent quality in a shop where everyting, from sourcing the wood, building the oven, mixing and shaping the dough, baking the bread, and selling it in the shop all comes out of one hand. If you are looking for a healthy alternative to supermarket style and mass produced bread you are welcome to pay us a visit.

 

Our Bread
iOven bread is healthy, nutritious, and wholesome.
All our iOven breads are handmade and daily baked fresh in our stoneoven. We use the best ingredients and only use what's needed for bread baking - flour, yeast, and water.

We do not use pre-mixes, rising agents, flavour enhancers, or artificial coloring and preservatives. For all our breads we use German flour and we are one of the few bakeries in Taiwan to offer rye bread and spelt bread.

 

 

Our Oven
We purpose built our iOven woodfire stoneoven ourselves from scratch. If you are interested in the design please contact us.

 

Our Wood
iOven only uses locally sourced wood, for example after Typhoons. In this way we are entirely CO2 neutral.

 

Personal
iOven owners and managers Konstantin & I-Ting have gained their experience in the food and restaurant industry in England, Austria, and Taiwan. Konstantin's family has a long history of chefs, with his great uncle serving British and Frensh royalty and his grandfather serving the top notch hotel restaurants in Austria and Germany.

 

Konstantin & I-Ting both have an academic background and earned their PhDs in Organisation and Management from the UK. While they continue their academic work they want to share their passion for and talent in preparing artisan European breads, cakes, and Neapolitan woodfire pizza.

 

As much as it is serving a local Taiwanese community with artisan European breads it is about venturing out and experiencing a completely new way of work and overall lifestyle.
